I love the quality of these Moleskine Sketchbooks, but I'm afraid this on is a bit too small for my less-than-steady hands. I'll probably move back up to the 5x7 watercolor block for sketches.
Hi Page. Thanks for stopping by. To answer your question. I try to do both. Painting from life is always preferable, as you say, sometimes the subject is moving to fast. Then I resort to photos. But, I only work from my own photos, never someone else's.
